Blood Angel Conclusions Okay, let's be honest - I just never thought about infiltrating units - I sure never thought I'd be assaulted in turn 1! Preliminary bombardment - and an excruciating first turn of fire left my lines in near total collapse from turn one. How I could have deployed better... at this point I simply don't know - it was a fairly standard deployment - but clearly something somewhere went amis!
Imperial Guard Conclusions Well.....from the start this was an experimental Guard force for me.
I wanted to try out the assault teams effectiveness in combat. Boy
were they effective! They managed to blow a hole in the left flank
big enough to drive a bus through. Or a Leman Russ....whatever was
handy. Luck was truly with me this day....the only ordnance that
scattered worked to my advantage. And what can I say about Sentinals....for
a fragile vehicle with no stopping power, they sure can cause a lot of
problems. The only disapointment came in the form of the Hardened
Veterens...every time I field these guys I think "They're gonna win the
battle for me!" at the end of the battle I am inevitably left thinking
"Why did I invest in those lazy do nothing layabouts again!!"....oh well,
live and never learn.
