1300pt Last Man Standing

hmmm. I played this game yesterday, and had a few shining moments. the main one was when the terminators deep struck right next to the lord and proceeded to cut him down in the first turn. Ha, Khorne will beat BA in HtH, YEAH RIGHT! we only played 1200-1300 points cause we only had a 62x24 inch playing table Blood Angels vs. Khorne

Khorne started off on a great note: The Lord and his Bezerker retinue went into a blood rage and decided to hop out of their rhino to move seven inches forward! The 1st BZ squad took advantage of the situation and hopped into the empty transport. They gunned the engines and came up to screen their lord from the menacing lines of red. BZ squad 2 blood raged but, like the retinue, only succeeded in moving an extra inch. BZ squad 3 calmly plodded across the field toward the Blood Angel lines. Turn 1: Blood Angels Tactical squad 1 fell victim to the red thirst, and the veteran sergeant pointed with power sword to the sandbags 10 inches away. He and his squad rushed up and took up firing positions behind the cover. The Land Speeder swung out to their left and opened up with its Multi-Melta, popping the Chaos Rhino. 5 of the 8 Bezerkers inside were killed, and one of the fortunate three had his luck quickly change when he was hit in the chest by a krak missile from Tactical Squad 2 as he clambered out of the hatch. The Whirlwind’s first payload landed between the Lord’s unit and the 2 remaining members of BZ 1. Turn 2: Khorne That pair blood raged and ran 11 inches towards the bunker occupied by the sniper rifle-toting scouts. The retinue steadily marched 6 inches after them. The 3rd BZ squad moved 3 inches to the base of the hill, and then stopped for tea. Meanwhile, BZ 2 sprinted 12 inches to the rocky base of the tall statue. Turn 2: Blood Angels The speeder gunned the engines and flew behind the lines, firing its Multi-Melta into the ground at BZ 1’s feet. The whirlwind was right on the mark, however, but although it hit both the retinue and BZ 1, it could only reduce the pair, to 1, and failed to do any damage to the retinue. Turn 3: Khorne The lone Bezerker blood raged and ran forward an extra inch, then calmed himself, raising his plasma pistol and sending the Land Speeder crashing to the ground. The retinue continued its calm march towards the bunker, while the 2nd BZ squad struggled 5 inches across the difficult ground at the base of the statue. BZ 3 put their teacups away and tramped 4 inches up the hill. Turn 3: Blood Angels With a brilliant calculation, the assault terminators deep struck within 2 inches of the lord. As they charged (yes, I know, we forgot that you can't assault the turn you deep strike), the Tactical squads worked to bring down 2 of the retinue. The terminators ganged up and took the lord down, then turned to cut down 2 of his retinue. The rest of the retinue took down 3 of the 6 terminators. The Chaplain and his Death Company were overcome by the red thirst, and swept out from behind the bunker to assault and annihilate the last member of BZ squad 1, then swept in to help the terminators. Turn 4: Khorne The remaining Bezerker squads rushed in to help, and together with the retinue eliminated the last 3 terminators (note: I hate those world eater axe things, only a 4+ save, arrrgh!) and 5 of the death company. The Blood Angels screamed their rage and proceeded to hack down the 5 remaining members of the retinue and 7 other Bezerkers. Turn 4: Blood Angels The first Tactical squad hopped over the sandbags and rushed in to help their brothers. The Librarian accompanying them killed 4 Bezerkers while the Veteran Sergeant got 3 with his power sword and the Chaplain crushed 2. The Bezerkers struck down another Death Company marine, leaving only one. Turn 5: Khorne The 3 characters fighting for the emperor cut down 5 more Bezerkers, and the remainder of the forces of Chaos began to feel the hopelessness of the situation. This just enraged them further, and they struck down 5 tactical marines in a flurry of blows. Turn 5: Blood Angels The Librarian and Chaplain worked to bring down 6 more Bezerkers, and the game was called before the 5 remaining warriors of Chaos struck back. Results: A decisive victory for the Emperor!!!
MVP- We decided on the terminators.
