General Markings

Blood Angel Chapter Symbol on left shoulder. Veteran Skull (if applicable) on right shoulder. Squad number is located within a black teardrop on either leg. The right knee pad of my First Squad bears a special teardrop icon which I put on the very first Blood Angels that I ever painted - most of the members of First Squad have these.

Some Blood Angel Veterans bear more decorative versions of their chapter and rank markings - these reflect heroic service to the Emperor in past battles. Often our special weapons marines will have markings like these - we like to have special weapons in the most capable hands. Many of our sergeants have them as well, testimony to past successes.

Notice if you will the name tags on each base, eventually all my sergeants and characters will have these. Also notice the black flocking on the bases - in time my entire army will have this :-)
