Foul Plague Marines have their own plans for the Blood Angels...
Chaos Turn 2.
The foul Plague Marines make a bold move toward the lead rhino, firing
as they moved toward us - but with a brilliant flash of light things suddenly
got much more interesting. A Chaos Lord and retinue in Terminator armor
suddenly teleported right before our eyes - and somewhere around this time
of the game I learned that I was supposed to be the defender in the scenario...
my oh my how interesting things can get when communications with headquarters
are misunderstood!
The lead rhino was totally destroyed by the Plague Marines firing (who
were much more heavily armed than I realized!).
My memory of this is kind of fuzzy - but the Terminators fired on the
Vindicator, and a flame template actually reached the Vindicator (the one
show in the photo is from Fantasy Warhammer that we threw in for a fun
picture). While the flamer wouldn't hurt the Vindicator is WOULD put a
little extra heat on some of the tac marines who just happened to be in
the way - aarrgghhh...
Destroyed by the Terminators shooting, the Vindicator burns and smoke
fills the air. Plague Marines move in to assault the tac squad from the
freshly destroyed rhino.
The assault phase did not go well at ALL for the Blood Angels - the
rubble you see is the wreckage of rht rhino (we need to make some wrecked
rhinos someday). So this is how things looked at the end of Chaos Turn
2.
On the other side of the battlefield Chaos havoc crews had continued
exchanging shots with the Blood Angel devastator squads.
