Our baby is born!

Life! 

Who knew a freaking YEAR could go by without me having time to update my beloved Ex Libris Mortis... but alas tis true apparently... In recent months my "special project" has taken up more and more of my time. I will create a web display of it to keep you all informed. It will likely take center stage of my 40K life (replacing my 40K gaming) but as this project is absolutely 40K related I think you'll all be excited about it, at least I hope you will be  ;)

Wow. What a crazy time! Hurricane Katrina hits, then Rita steers a course so directly for our town here in central Texas that we actually boarded up our home over 150 miles inland because we were expecting hurricane force winds this far inland! The storm missed us though, but man did it mess up our house as I worked to protect all of our armies & rulebooks which were in our sunporch, a room I felt was most likely to leak in a big storm! With all this excitement the monthly gaming thing fell through (simply not enough time each month, and my buddy Scott also found he lacked time as well). Many other 40K projects were also halted, but I was able to continue working off and on my "special project" (scroll down to last September to see my mention of this project). Hopefully though I'll have something to show of this 
before year's end.

March 2005

Starting a Monthly Gaming Event

As a long time gamer in my hometown I know there are a number of other dedicated gamers around here, yet the local gameshops are most often filled with younger gamers & unpainted armies. In an effort to rally the veteran gamers I've undertaken the task of organizing a once a month gaming event at one of the local stores which permits only fully painted armies of 1500pts or more to participate in special scenarios and use special highly detailed terrain. Participation is open to anyone, anyone who puts some effort into their army. Hopefully over time we'll see more interaction between newer gamers & vets, and see the quality of modeling, painting, and gaming overall rise around here :) Our first event is the first weekend in April, I hope to post photos of that event as soon as possible :)
