On a volcanic deathworld, Chaos taint has spread through the population. A once secretive Chaos cult has become the predominant religion on the planet - people are openly defying the Emperor. The Planetary Governor (still loyay to the Emperor) has become a virtual prisoner within his own fortified compound as rebelling Imperial troops try to overcome his personal army. The Adeptus Astartes have arrived to restore order to the planet, and (if possible) break through the rebel guard lines in time to reach the Planetary Govenor before his forces collapse completely...
