Banners

Here are closeups of some of my Veteran Sergeant banners.

These were all made simply by painting kleanex tissue, trimming it into banner shapes, then painting the iconography and applying decals. The lettering was done with a felt ink pen.

Veteran Sergeant Casca - Assigned Tac Squad I
Veteran Sergeant Casca leads Tac I when they play an assault role.
The yellow circle indicates this is a Tactical Squad, the numeral tells which squad, the squad's name is also on the banner. The yellow Blood Angels symbol on the upper left conveys this is a Veteran Sergeant. From the front the Blood Angels Chapter Symbol is proudly displayed to let the enemy know the Blood Angels have arrived.

Veteran Sergeant Zuriel - Assigned Tac Squad I
Veteran Sergeant Zuriel leads Tac I when Tac I expects to play more of a fire support role.

One of the Tac Squad II Veteran Sergeants, he's equipped for assault and sporting a plasma pistol. Most of my Tac Squads have two sergeants, one geared for assault and one for when the squad plays a fire support role. Tac Squads 1 and 2 are often used in the assault role, so I've modeled their Veteran Sergeants with a wider range of equipment options.

Assault Squads

Veteran Sergeant Israfel leads Assault I into battle. I've used white roman numerals on a black background to identify assault squads (my Tac Squads use a yellow circle with black roman numerals).
