Terrain is as follows.. Left corner is a ruined refinery.down from that is a fallout shelter and below that is a ruined apartment complex that spans almost half the board length wise directly up from the end of it is a war tattered court yard and in the right corner is a destroyed factory below that is an old highway with ruined streets and a *difficult terrain* bridge(also counts as cover) so on to the battle Turn 1-Chaplain Marius scanned the field of battle noticing the death company of the blood angels.Thier pride would not get in the way of thier mission.The preditor advanced into a shooting position while the tactical squads moved forward for a firing spot in the court yard while the assualt troops and chaplain moved out fromt he apartment complex into the street.The blood Angel Scouts still undetected moved across the bridge with easy.The chaplain couldnt quell the death company and they advanced almost into the courtyard then proceeded in doing so moving next tot he Dark Angels Tactical squad Authos.The tactical squad Heracio in rhino followed the Death Company's lead gunning the engines to a full 6 inches and disembarking right next to the Dark Angels.The Dreadnought and tactical squads advances still out of reach.The Dreadnought openned up on Chaplain Marius but his faith in the immortal emporer saved him.The Death Company and Tactical squad Heracio charged into the Dark Angels squads killing 7 marines under the wieght of attacks and Chaplain Tyreal got the last 3 for himself sweeping advancing strait into the Tactical squad Rinos while the tactical squad couldnt do the same. Turn 2-The chaplain and assualt squadadvanced into the courtyard while the preditor took aim at the dreadnought. firing once stunning the dreadnought and then missing twice.The Chaplain Dove into the Tactical squad Heracio and the ensuring melee was incredible.The chaplain took down 3 marines and the assualt marines failed to take any down while the tactical squads determination and Blood and Sanguinius running through their bloods.The Death Company gashed apart 3 marines and the chaplain took down 4 himself the tactical squad brought down one death company member only to have him get back up from the blow.Tactical squad rinos broke and was caught and cut down like animals. Turn 3-The Preditor managed to immobilize the dreadnought in the fury
of lascannon fire.The tactical squad Medusa charged into the chaplain Marius's
assualt team along with scout squad Um'Brega cutting down 2 assualt marines
while the chaplain took down 3 scouts and 1 marine but he was outnumbered
and fell back out of range of the assualt.The Death company was in the
open but charged towards the chaplain.The scouts persued but to no avail.the
Tactical squads laid a hail of bolter fire into the chaplain who was consumed
by the explosive fire and died and firey explosive death.The Dreadnought
destroyed the preditors twin linked lascannon.and the Dark Angels player
withdrew
Obviously a decisive victory for me which i am happy to report.DA are
usually tough oppenents but i seamed to have out manned them a bit and
slaughtered thier unit in HtH...anyways im out for a while...hope you like
it cya...
