Eldar Turn 1

The vipers moved up to wipe out our speeders, the guardian squads begain to head toward this side of the hilltop, the Wraithlord stepped down off the hill and prepared to assault the Death Company.

Firing from a number of Eldar units (including the Banshees) wiped out my second tac squad, the Banshees then proceeded to assault my remaining center field tac squad (the ones who had just killed 3 of their five leaders!). Sadly the Banshees wiped through the squad with no difficulty whatsoever - they never even got to strike back!

The Wraithlord assaults the Death Company killing two Death Company marines instantly. The fighting is intense - but the Death Company have no weapons capable of affecting the alien warmachine!

Fire from the remaining Eldar had only been able to destroy the weapons on both our speeders - smoking but still intact, they survived!

Blood Angels Turn 2

Movement - the devastators rage and move (idiots), the whirlwind rages again (more idiots), my wounded speeders kick in the afterburners and attempt to fly a careful course away from the shooting. Since they have no weapons, my only choice is to try to see to it that they survive the battle intact (deny the enemy thier victory points). the rhino from tac squad one drives up a bit closer to the Banshees (who are cowering behind their vipers). This turn the tac squad on this side of the board rages (what is wrong with everyone today?!?) so I decide to run them toward the nearest trees (cover save), but I also wanted to keep them close to those vipers, my hope was that their firing might drop one or maybe both of them :) My other shooty tac squad held their ground this time - and raised their weapons for careful aim :)

ah yes - if you look closely at this tac squad you can actually see them taking aim :)

oh - here's one photo that shows both sides of the field, and you can see the cowardly Eldar Farseer having a panic attack there behind their burning falcon :) (sorry Scott! I had to go for the extra drama!) :)

The value of a shooty tac squad - they dropped one of the Vipers! Then both my rhinos fired storm bolters into those Banshees and killed two of them :) remember the rhino with white smoke is only having engine problems :)

Suddenly a great explosion rocks the field, that careful aim pays off as my other shooty tac squad rips into one of the Eldar Guardian squads! :)
