Hey, I was just wondering if anybody was at the Gamesday Baltimore RTT. It turned out that there were about 150 people playing in it, and I came in about 40th. Here's just a some brief battle reports.

1st game was against Dark Angels. I ended up going first and destroyed his landraider with a landspeeder, killing his termies in CC close combat with a tactical squad (the veteran sergeant with a power weapon got lucky) His turn he killed both of my lanspeeders with bolter fire, and killed a few marines. The Captain in termie armor charged a tactical squad and was killed in return. The second turn I charged his devastators and other HQ in termie armor with the DC. My Sanguinary Priest charged a tactical squad along with one of my tactical squads. His tactical squad all died, and so did his devastators, but his HQ didn't run. Next turn was innefective for my opponent and my DC couldn't seem to kill his HQ. Then he forfeited saying that he had to go meet someone. Oh well, I got 20/20 for that one, losing only a few marines and the landspeeders.

2nd game was againt IG. I went first again, but he was smart and set up everyone out of charge range except for some ratling snipers who were killed by one of my tactical squads. Everybody else moved straight towards the IG. On his turn he let loose with all his hvy weapons, killing half of the tactical squad that had charged the snipers, a couple of DC from lascannon shots. He also killed over half of my assault squad with a basilisk shot. Next turn I got to him and slaughtered all of his ground troops except for a mortar team in the corner. Unfortunately neither my landspeeders or Predator Annihilator killed any of his tanks or chimeras so I had a good chunk of my army sitting in the middle of his vehicles...
He started out shooting his basilisk and killed 9 members of a tactical squad in one shot. Ouch. He killed one of my landpeeders. He had also unloaded all of his troops from the chimeras and completely flamed a scout squad with four different flamers, killing all of them. Next turn I killed many of his ground troops in CC, and his Leman Russ with the predator, but unfortunately my assault squad swept right in front of his ogryns. His turn, his Callidus assassin came one and killed a whole scout squad who was holding an objective on a hill, and his Deathwatch space marines came on killing a couple of my snipers. The ogryns charged my assault squad killing all but the sgt. During my turn I frantically ran for the objectives, killing the assassin with the DC and Sang. priest. Also I flew the remaining landspeeder onto another. The time limit was up and I squeaked by with a victory since my one man assault squad and one man tactical squad only counted half VPs. 19/20 for this game.

3rd game I played Blood Angels. He went first. He killed 1 lanspeeder both rhinos and my Annihilator from lascannon fire from razorbacks and his landraider. He then rushed his rhino full of DC right towards my tactical squad and slaughtered them all with his extra initiative and strength for charging. Not a good turn for me. My turn, I moved my landpeeder right next to his landraider and scored a hit, but only a could not shoot next turn. My 5 man scout squad charged his 8 man assault squad killing 4 or 5 assault squad guys and losing one scout in return. Also my DC charged his and killed many of them. I also charged his DC with a tactical squad. Next turn he killed my landspeeder, and much of my sniper scouts from shooting. His DC were down to a couple of guys, and my scouts finished off the assault squad. Next turn all of my shooting weas innefective, but I did make the lone enemy chaplain flee. Unfortunately I had to sweeping advance so he could shoot me to pieces next turn, which he did, killing my Sanguinary priest, and some of my DC. My chaplain and his chaplain fought and mine killed his, but was promptly shot by a lascannon later. Basically he slaughtered me, and I'll never underestimate the effectiveness of the razorback's twin linked lascannons, after they killed half of my vehicles, my sanguinary priest and my chaplain. It was my first time playing against BAs so I now know what it feels like to be charged on the first turn with all of those guys. 8/20 for thaty one.

Oops, out of time. My fourth game was against an eldar army of purely wraithguard, 3 wraithlords, and dark reapers. Nasty. I did succeed in killing most of the wraithguard and two of the wraithlords in close combat (my priest did very well when he charged a wraithlord with his lightning claws) I actually had more victory points in the end, but the objective was to get into the eldar deployment zone with squads over half strength and all but one of my squads in the deployment zone were one man below half strength. Also she got double VPs for completely killing a squad, so I ended up losing. 8/20

I also got 16/20? for composition and an 8 for painting (Thanks to the great Newwave.org most of my minis had come the week before the tournie, almost 3 months late, so my painting score suffered. It's been a while since the tournie so I'm sure I left some stuff out, but I tried to go over the important parts.
