This was a fight with my friends DW(not the other DA player) and my Blood Angels! It was a cleanse mission and it was extremely bloody!This was the most bloody and in your face game i've ever played so bare with me if i get a few things off as it was insane to keep up with! Troops:Tactical squad with veteran sergant power weapon/bp 1 marine with missle launcher 8 marines with bolters in rhino-255 Troops:Tactical squad with veteran sergant with power weapon/bp 1 marine with missle launcher 8 marines with bolters in rhino-255 Fast Attack:Attack bikes 2 with multi meltas-130 (to bust the LRC) Heavy Support:Devastator squad with veteran sergant with bp/ccw 4 plasma cannons in razorback with twin linked lascannons-335 Heavy Support:Devastators squad with veteran sergant with bp/cw 4 plasma cannons in razorback with twin linked lascannons-335 Heavy Support:Vindicator Assualt Tank-110 Total:2019 Terrain- well there wasnt a whole lot in the way of terrain as it was a field.But the cover was trees mostly and a few boulders. Deployment-The Tac squads with vindicator deployed behind some trees and next turn would pick up the honor guard led by the death company to hit the flank of the terminator force while the attack bikes would OPEFULLY run the flank and pop the LRC's and then the 8 plasma cannons would cause havoc! Turn 1-The grandmaster's moved foward in the LRC towards the blood angels line!The terminators all moved up as did the dreadnoughts!The dreadnoughts started firing with gusto blowing apart both razorbacks!The terminator shooting squads with a missle blasting the side of the vindicator but only managed to shake the crew on a glancing hit.The next missle hit a plasma cannonier who was unlucky enough to be JUST out of cover!The Chaplain raged at the sight of his fallen brothers and went 16 inches towards his foe!The Sanguinary High Preist did not rage but moved forwards 12 inches and the overcharged rhino's where out of the gate going 16 and 14 inches followed by the vindicator on the flank protecting the assualt force from any unwanted missle shots!Th attack bikes raged foward into range of the LRC and quick dodged into cover readying their multi meltas!The Dev squad 1 raged foward and would not shoot but the other would!The vindicator was out of range but the devastators weren't!They managed to shoot the leggs off of the dreadnought Mes'Non then with an accurate and leathal shot spew plasma beams into the face plate of the might warrior peircing the hull and annihilating the fallen champion with a superheated blast in his own grave!The attack bikes needed this roll to go for them as a duck needed water!The multi meltas surged forth (11 inches!).Inside the armor the terminators heard a bang.They wondered what was wrong.The tech marine ran in informing them to evacuate immediately just as the second packet of heat hit them.The exlosion this time ripped through the hull and into the control chamer and then into the fuel cells completely lifting the massive 20 off feet into the air where is slammed back down into the hard earth!One of the terminators who was exiting when the blast hit was decapitated by the massive land raider as it violently shook upwards and then back down onto his head,while the last terminator inside was kileld by the blast and another out side was hit by debit going faster then the speed of sound from the explosion sawing through the terminator and into the side of the grand master!AMAZINGLY BAD ROLLS!with 4 failed saves from TERMINATOR armor it was incredibe what 2 multi melta shots did!EASILY peircing the hull of the land raider crusader!No assualt! Turn 2-The remaing grand master charged again openning fire on the atack bikes but to no use as the mutli melta missed and the bolter rounds bounced off the attacks bikes thick armor!The fire support temrinators moved foward taking aim at the vindicator annihilating it with a missle that ripped through its side causing a great explosion!The other terminator squad blew apart one of the rhino's with NO loss of the crew(lol i was laughin so hard i didnt even feel it when he punched me!I mean i was on the floor!).The remaining dreadnought fired at the devastators killing 1 with a lascannons shot eviserating the upper torso of the marine and a frag missle caused two more of the marines to die a fiery death!The Death Wing was waiting for the charge.The Chaplain Ran jetted foward with the tac squad on foot in a rage that THEIR OWN rhino have been destroyed!Their own friends had been killed and these scum would pay dearly!The honor guard went forward once again remaining composed as the rhino overcharged strait into the terminators!unloaded as the rest of the troops got their ready to charge!The devastators immobilized the dreadnought and took out his lascannons melting it with a superheated plasma blast!The attack bikes once again managed to create havoc as the LRC was immobilized and then lost its hurricane bolters to a packet of heat from the multi melta!The Assualt was brutal!The death company hacked apart 4 terminators losing 4 of their own to the other squad and the tac squads were nearly killed off as the honor gaurd managed to get rid of 4 more terminators and the SHP finished the last 2 of them,Russo charged forth claws open wide in an angelic shape!He swooped down from 30 feet above on of the terminators and dropped like a rock,splitting the death wing member apart from head to toe!Then activating his jets once more and impaling the other terminator in a split second then withdrawing his claws and with a flick of his wrist cutting off the top of his skull!They swept nearly into the dreadnought but were about 7 inces away! Turn 3-The grandmaster was pissed and ran back towards the dreadnought.The Dreadnought openned up on the dev's once again killed 2 more with a frag missle!The land raider crusader fired with his multi melta at the deat company disentigrating one marine!The lord stormed forward killing off another tactical marine with his storm bolter!The chaplain acted with rage and charged forward an extra 3 inches while the honor gaurd finally gave in to the rage!The lone tactical squad on foot was left behind and the remainging squad was charging with the assualt teams!The devastators raged and were of no use.The tactical squad on foot gave a missle into the LRC actually DESTROYING the machine with a hit to the shells of the hurricane bolter that had jammed up from the melted spots in the barrels!The attack bikes were pretty much useless now!The chaplain seflessly acted and charged towards the dreadnought from the side angle and with one ver hand blow sunk his Arcanum into the dreadnought until it hit the core!The explosion killed the chaplain but saved the rest of the death company and honor gaurd!The Sanguinary High Preist overran the dead smoking rubble that used to be a dreadnought and almost into the terminators! Turn 4-The Grand Master runs foward and shoots more but finds that he is 4 inches from charging range so opens fire killing no one!The High Preist ordered a charge and the devastators raged AGAIN!The tactical squads rhino stalled out from the faulty circitry int he engine and the death company raged forward!The Combat was ferocious!The grand masters cut down an entire squad of tactical marines THEM SELVES!The assualt termies ripped through the rest fo the death company, but not without a price as 6 assualt terminators fell to the blades of the honor guard!The Sanguinary High preist Challenged the Grand Masters BOTH(this was somthing we made up,Under martial honor hte Saguinary High preist offered a challenge to the grand masters offering to fight them both 2 on 1!).They excepted!High preist Russo charged forth!hitting aside a massive black sword with his lightning claw high charged into the hulking grand masters sticking both arms out and activating the jets ripping through the sides of both of them!From the sky he plumetted 40 feet down landing on one of the grand masters claws first killing him insantly!The Second Grand master was inraged and charge forward hacking twice at Russo one impaled his ribs the other was parries quickly by the cunning High Preist! GAME OVER! Well i had 2 devastators a stalled rhino 4 man honor guard and a half cut open Sanguinary High preist!WELL thi was incredible as i never gave a thought to the death wing being as great in HtH as i was!He had a wounded grand master and 2 assualt terminators left!I had 417 points left, he had 231!Truely the closest battle i have ever fought! Lessons Learned-Ot was costly to get into the shoot out with the dreadnoughts!They killed off over 570 points with 280 points!The Honor gaurd made a HUGE difference in HtH and i woulda lost without them!The Death Company really soaked wounds and the tactical squads performed somewhat well!The Grand masters with swords of secrets is tough but 2 of them and you got a problem!The attack bikes really did their job on the LRC's taking them both out and then the nice missle launcher shot from tac 1!The DeathWing easily equals us in HtH as every single model ahs a power weapon.They have few few few numbers but dont let that fool you!They are strong in shooting and in HtH and they are truely the toughest force i have ever fought!Even RTT games arent like this!
