1700 batrep Blood Angels Vs Dark Eldar
This was a take and hold mission.I was the defender.I had to hold the ruins of Galhanai(gal-hon-ya). I took some firepower units BEFORE we rolled for the game.This was going to fun! Blood Angels:
Dark Eldar:
The Eldar rushed towards the ruins.The Blood angels whirlw ind was setup behind the rhuins and gave hell into the warriors squad,anihilating 9 in a buring death!The land speeders darted towards the ravager taking it down with not problems.The raiders gave fire into the speeders but only 1 fell.The attack bikes surged towards the dark eldar warriors that were left gunning them down with heavy bolters and bolter rounds.The Incubi and archoan slammed intot he flank with a tactical squad slaughtered them wholesale!They were stuck as no one was close to them and they were right on my lines.The talos's were near my lines and the preditor annihlator and razorbakcs gave hell into them.The speeder then flew in to finish the job,seconds before a raider came onto its tail shooting it down!The attack bikes finshed the warriors and too aim at the jets of a raider,knocking it down!The wytches were lose!The tactical sqads emptied the rhino's and razorbacks and turned all weapons towards the wytches!They were blown apart in a hail of bolter fire as the preditor knocked down another raider!The retinue was close to close combat whent he death company smashed into the side!They blow was deathly as 4 incubi fell to the ground and the chaplain gutted 3 more!The archon slaughtered the death company,but not enough as the archon fled as his unit was killed around him!He obviously didnt flee far enough as he was caught by the death company.The homs. flew over the death company spraying their goo everywhere!The brave warriors would not be told what to do and grabbed one homonculus by his neck and threw him to the ground where he was sliced apart beyond recognetion!There were but few death company members left adn a chaplain so i pulled them back to the lines here!The tac squad's all fired towards the remaing ravager but it was far out of reach!The attack bikes where hit by the remainging talos and the homoculi!They were slaughtered whole sale!The dark eldar made a last attempt at the goal!They ran their 30+ warriors at me strait on while the preditor shot down a raider it in turn was annihilated by a dark lance!The whirl wind claimed 9 more lives as it slammed its missles into the HUGE on foot mass of dark eldar!The razorbacks with tac squads loaded up once more.The death company was killed off my the homonculi,but the chaplain dragged down the last two and hacked the engiens off them,causing them to spin out of control into the ground.The chaplain was far from the combat.All he could do was pray he could get there in time!The dark eldar warriors chased down the blood angel tactical squads!The combat was ferocious!The Blood Angels managed to kill off 8 but the dark eldar warriors killed 4 int eh combat the withdrew killing adnother 4 when they shot while being chased!The chaplain was near them now just as the LAST raider shot hit point black with a dark lance.Annnihilating him from the planet!The last taloes roared intot he combat and the marines were all but decimated! the scouts finally made it formt he flank assiting in the battle for the first time today!The veteran sergant laid hell into everything around him but no one could stop the crazed machine!The dark eldar warriors once agan left the combat while firing knocking down another 3 marines while the talos gutted 3 with its massive claws!The scouts slammed into the back of the warriors killing 11 of their number and no losses in return.The warriors were trapped and the talos was maniacly killing stuff as the razorback shot the last raider out pf the sky! Game Over! Well i pulled out this one with just over 795 points left!He didnt have that. Overall i think the whirl wind really helped me.The tac squads did well
to hold the enemy.They scouts really paid off in this mission.The Pred
wasnt THAT hot,but still killed its points.The Speeders did excellent in
this mission and i will definately keep them.The heavy bolters and attack
bikes i could use to have mroe troops.The death company killed the homonculi
that was good,and a dark eldar squad,which was also good.They DID kill
their points but however werent as powerful as i had imagined!They Incubi
were dealt with fast but the shooty tac squad was wasted points here!The
death company saved me from myself as they roared in and killed off the
incubi in 2 turns causing the archon to flee inwhich case he was caught
and slapped around before killed off with chainswords!The massed bolter
fire WAS effective this game as i annihilated a bunch of wytches.The razorback
did well this game and is a keeper!Overall i think i did ok on an eldar
variant!I held my spot as the tactical squad's combat was AWAY from the
ruins.The death company freed alot of space up for me.Overall in a tourney
im 90% sure i woulda got 19-20 points!
Next time i face the ultra marines!Wish me luck!
