Isvan VII Campaign 
Blood Angels Vs Nurgle
4000pts

ok so we are doing a massive campaign to claim Isvan VII back from its chaos infestation of nurgle!

There is 4000 points of imperial armies and 4000 of nurgle!

There is a 3 game campaign for each of the imperial armies!

Imperials:My BloodAngels,My friends Dark Angels,IG

I have been selected to fight in the city(city fight!) my friend's IG are going to fight it out in the open field of battle as are my friend andrew's dark angels!

My match was first as there are 3 different nurgle commanders on 3 different tables fighting 3 different imperial armies!

I was fighting a 1500 point game in the City Of Uglas IV

After this game we would each recieve 1 new HQ and i would get another fast attack and troop.

He would recieve(in addition to his new HQ) another heavy support and 1 more troops and 1 more elites!

This is a cleanse mission.The next if i win is a rescue mission.If he wins its a meat grinder mission and the last one is a take and hold mission.
 

Fluff:

On Isvan VII in the City of Uglas(ua-glass)the plague marines have invanded capturing the space port and Governor's Military Complex.The First on the seen is the might BloodAngels Space Marine Chapter.The fightning will be at the space port and the field will stretch to the Governor's Complex.With the BloodAngels on the offensive, The chaos scum can only hope to hold out in the city until the BloodAngels withdraw due to lack of numbers.

We will be using experience points on this occasion!

My tactics where to shoot him up and then hit him hard with the rhino's on turn 3.

Nurgle Army:
HQ:Chaos Lord with mark of nurgle and plague sword and terminator armor and spiky bits-130

1 power weapon/ reaper auto cannon-250

He was gonna shot the light outts me...or so he thought!
 

Terrain.He was coming fromt he space port on the far left side near the governers complex(which he had already taken!)
where he was highing out at.The ruined space port gave him spureme firing lines but i was mostly in cover.Near the middle was a messed up foctory that was near caput!Next to the was a huge reifinery with tons of pipes and a bell tower where i would place my snipers.The Streets where well placed as i could go on my right flank and on its street without being shot at!Next on the rightnext to the factory was an old warhouse and above the(on the right!) was a ruined courtyard with a single 5 story building.

Deployment-I stuck the snipers in the bell tower and the dreadnought hull down with some shooting lines.The tac squads in rhinos went to the reifinery and took up firing lanes as did the tac squads on foot near the torn down factory.The Death Company and veterans deployed near the warhouse ready to move out and charge strait into the chaos lines on turn 2-3!

Turn 1-The Sanguinary high preist gave the order to shoot and the blood angels shot.The snipers openned up on the temrinators with insane accurasy killing 2 and the auto cannon tanking another one down!The dreadnought fired a full barrage at the foul chaos beast stunning and immobilizing it with his age tempered accuracy with the missle launcher and lascannons.The tac squad fired into the regular plague marines killing 7 of the creatures!The Chaos lord orded the movement of troops towards the enemy.Slogging through the difficult terrain the plague marine squads found themselves in the open!The terminators fired on the dreadnought shaking it.
No combat and the rest of the marines where out of range!

Turn 2-The Sanguinary High Presit ordered another bombardment.The snipers killed off 2 more and an auto cannon shot took down the last terminator.The Dreadnought Stunned the beast again and the tac squads put down 9 more plague marines.The Chaos Lord had just seen al his terminators shot down around him.The plague marines stood and fired killing 2 scouts.But their work had been done.The rest of the fire was towards the tactical marines killing 5.

Turn 3-The sanguinary preist ordered the rhino to mobilize.The veterans where furious that their 'little brothers' had just been blow to shreds and raged forward 4 inches and overcharged 5 and the Death Company rhino overchaged 6 inches and they dismounted another 2 leaving them 4 inches from the plague marines!The shooting was insane as 9 plague mairnes fell and the lord was wounded.The Charge was insane as 7 plague marines were left dead and the DC and veterans consolidated back into the rhinos(in city fight you cant sweeping advance because of the rubble) ready to speed forward into the bulk of the enemy next turn.The chaos lord moved to intercept the rhino's but was too far behind.The shooting at the rhino's was pointless and the just readied themselves for the charge.The chaos lord fired his combi bolter but to no effect.

Turn 4-The Sanguinary preist charged towards the main nurgle marine squads and dismounted into charging range, as did the veterans.The scouts openned fire as did the tactical squads killing 4 more plague marines from the snipers and 6 more from the tactical squad firing.The dreadnought finally took apart the mucasy beast with a krak missle strait to its now exposed core!The DeathCompany charged into the heart of the enemy crippling 4 of the mutated marines.The Veterans
charged forth slaughtering 5 of the horrible aliens and the Sanguinary High Preist gutted 5 himself.The Plague marines struck back but only managed to pull down 1 Veteran.The Chaos lord ran as fast as he could and charged strait into the combat killing 2 DC members and 2 veterans.The Sanguinary High Preist cut down 4 more plague marines and the Death Company and veterans struck down 5 more aswell.
 

The game ended and i won.

The next game would be a rescue mission where i would have to fight against the best nurgle commander(this wasnt him!) and rescue the hostaged Governer from his own Military Complex.This is gonna be a 1000 point game and city fight aswell.

For his rolls 840 points of plague marines stood back up!

He kept his lord which was one of his last remaining units.

He gets to bring in another heavy probably a preditor and troops(more plague marines!) and another elite(probably possessed!)
 

Anyways im looking forward too it...
 

Lessons learned-Nurgle have very short ranged fire power(ill ahve to check and see if they can take havocs or obliterators!).They have tough troops.Their terminators fall to sniping.A Sanguinary Preist is awsome with the DC and ill use it more often.The Chaplain Will add mroe DC to the bunch next time(i had great rolls this time!) and the HtH will be furious.I am gonna bring in an assualt squad and chaplain(like i said) and i dont know if i need mroe troops.But ill probably replenish my scouts!
